[A Nature Place]


I am the sounds of nature ~ the strong winds blowing through the tops of the trees, sounding at times like the oceans roar ~ lapping the white sands at Napili. Listen ~ I can hear the gulls too ~ imagination is a wonderful thing.

Down the pathway.... for miles and miles they come.... because they have been touched by your caring.... by your wisdom.... and they are here to say Thank You.  It's through you they learned it is all right to reach out.  And while you are looking at the growing crowd, a young child climbs into your lap and says to you, "Why do these people think you are so special?" You look into that child's eyes and say, "A long time ago, I got tired of being lonely, I got tired of being tough.  I got tired of thinking I had to go it alone .... do it alone. I got tired of pushing people away and I made a choice to really let someone in, to really let someone know me.  And ever since that time, nothing has been more important to me than giving my love and letting people in.

And the child leans back with that beautiful innocent wisdom that seems to belong to children and says, "Well, isn't that the way it's supposed to be?"

I want you to know that it is the way it's supposed to be.  It is absolutely your right to have everything you want and to have the closeness.  You deserve it and you don't have to wait any longer.

They know.  They are willing for you to see yourself as they see you.  They are all there loving you, thanking you and waiting .... just waiting for you to know it too.

Get up, take the child by the hand and take your next step.
